Contribution to the Distribution of the Thick Shelled River Mussel (Unio crassus) in the Czech Republic

Abstrakt

V textu předkládáme výsledky mapování velevruba tupého (Unio crassus), organizovaného Agenturou ochrany přírody a krajiny ČR, které probíhalo v sedmi krajích ČR v letech 2012–2015. Výsledky jsou doplněny několika dalšími vlastními nálezy z roku 2016. Z prozkoumaných 75 vodních toků byl výskyt velevruba tupého potvrzen v 11, přičemž v 6 tocích byl zjištěn nově. Kromě přehledu nálezů uvádíme i seznam vodních toků, ve kterých jsme jej nenalezli.

Abstract

In this study we present results of mapping of the thick shelled river mussel (Unio crassus) organized by the Nature Conservation Agency of the Czech Republic in seven districts of the country during the period 2012–2015. The results were supplemented by several personal records made by the authors in 2016. Occurrence of the species was confirmed in 11 of the 75 surveyed streams; in six of them it was reported for the first time. We also include a list of the streams where the species was not found.
