Contribution to the Knowledge of the Distribution of the Common Dormouse (Muscardinus avellanarius) in the Czech Republic

Abstrakt

V textu se předkládají souhrnné výsledky mapování plšíka lískového (Muscardinus avellanarius) prováděného spolkem Zamenis v letech 2012–2017 ve vybraných faunistických kvadrátech na území ČR. Hlavní použité metody mapování byly instalace umělých hnízdních příbytků a sběr požerků lískových oříšků. Byla ověřena jejich funkčnost a úspěšnost. Mapování přineslo celkem 137 pozitivních nálezů ve 102 kvadrátech, z toho ve 36 byl zjištěn nově. Všechny nálezy jsou zde uvedeny. Dále je v textu diskutována úspěšnost mapovacích metod, rozšíření druhu a možná ohrožení. 

Abstract

Between 2012 and 2017, the distribution of the common dormouse (Muscardinus avellanarius) was studied in selected mapping grids of the Czech Republic by the company Zamenis. The essential methods used were installing artificial nest tubes and collection of gnawed hazelnuts. Both methods proved to be functional and effective. The presence of the species was ascertained in 137 localities, covering 102 fields of the KFME mapping grid; for 36 of the fields it was the first record of the species. A detailed list of all records is given in the text. The efficiency of the monitoring methods used, factors influencing the presence of the species, as well as possible threats are also discussed.
